Team Makkelie to the 2024 European Championship!

Team Makkelie will represent the Netherlands at the 2024 European Football Championship. Danny Makkelie and assistants Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries, will make their appearance in Germany next summer. In addition, Rob Dieperink and Pol Van Boekel will be VAR during the tournament.

Remarkably, Team Gözübüyük has not been selected. However, Serdar Gözübüyük and Johan Balder will participate as 'Support Match Officials', with Serdar taking the role of fourth official and Johan as reserve assistant. This will undoubtedly be a considerable bummer for these men.

It is also notable that no Belgian officials have been selected for this tournament. UEFA does welcome an Argentine arbitration trio, consisting of Facundo Tello, Gabriel Chade and Ezequiel Brailovsky.
